The Debrisoft Lolly was developed for the debridement of deep wounds and hard-to-reach areas, and for use during invasive surgery. Product composition

The head of the Debrisoft Lolly is composed of monofilament polyester fibres and seamed with a blue, X-ray detectable polypropylene thread (containing barium sulphate and polyester). The interior of the head is coated with polyacrylate. The head is sewn onto a polypropylene handle.

Fields of application

Acute and chronic wounds and also for the skin surrounding the wound:

  • Diabetic ulcers
  • arterial and venous ulcers
  • pressure ulcers
  • Postoperative wounds healing by secondary intention
  • Traumatic and surgical wounds (abrasions, incisions, lacerations)
  • burns and scalds (3rd degree: following surgical debridement)
  • Bullous epidermolysis

Suitable for hyperkeratotic skin such as may occur, for example, in association with lymphoedema.

Intended purpose

The monofilament fibre stick is used for the absorption of exudate, debris and skin keratoses during the debridement of superficial and deep wounds/wound cavities, including those from invasive surgery.

To note

  • product for debridement, does not stay on the wound
  • can be used at every dressing change if needed

Advice

  • Very good results can also be achieved with the Debrisoft Lolly on hyperkeratotic or necrotic surfaces when they have been previously treated with autolytic debridement.
  • The soft fibre side can be moistened with any standard wound irrigation solution in accordance with national guidelines.
