In the first half of 2015, L&R expanded its activities in France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and the US intensively, securing their future with considerable investments. The Remiremont site in Lorraine, France, has been considerably expanded with new administrative and office buildings, whilst a new finished goods store and distribution centre was opened in Burton-upon-Trent in Great Britain. The company also expanded its production facilities in Stará Paka, the Czech Republic, and laid the foundations for a new production facility at its other Czech site in Slavkov. By the middle of next year, Kitpack production will have almost doubled and L&R’s in-house EO sterilization facility is set to boast 50% more than today’s capacity.
In the USA, L&R acquired Solaris, Inc., a specialist in lymphoedema treatment, and merged it with its second US subsidiary, L&R USA, in the summer at a shared site in Milwaukee, which was then also substantially enlarged. With these investments, the L&R group is consolidating its sites and laying the foundations for further growth.
